Man writes huge message that can be viewed from Google Earth
Would you drive 12,238 miles across thirty U.S. states to scribble a message you can only view using Google Earth? Nick Newcomen would, and did. In order to spread his message, which was “Read Ayn Rand,” the road trip-er spent thirty days driving in carefully crafted directions from the Pacific ocean to the Atlantic ocean. With the help of a GPS logger (the Qstarz BT-Q1000X) and a traced map, Newcomen hit the road, recorded his data (remembering to turn it off for spaces between letters), and eventually produced the image below:
“The main reason I did it is because I am an Ayn Rand fan,” Newcomen says. “In my opinion if more people would read her books and take her ideas seriously, the country and world would be a better place — freer, more prosperous and we would have a more optimistic view of the future.”
What should we call this new artform? Geotypography?

Ayn Rand is for individualism and as small of a government at possible. The guy in this story broke every Ayn Rand concept in that
Highway System- Govt program
GPS- Govt program
Satellite imagery- Govt program
Gasoline- Govt defense ensures oil deliveries so it is massive Govt program
Internet- Govt seed money started it and govt still runs much of it
Electricity to use his computer- Govt subsidized grid and Govt guaranteed loans are the ONLY way nuclear power plants are built.
If you know what you are talking about this guy explains very well how he is contradicting everything Ayn Rand stands for and this guy is a fool.
