Matte black BMW

I love the matte black finish. Wonder if I could get a minivan this way. :-)

I saw that car -- or one just like it -- not long ago. Extremely eye-catching.

Is matte harder to keep clean? More scratch resistant?

My son has a black pickup that he lowered and spray painted matte black. Yes, spray paint and it looks just like that.

This type of paint finish is called Black Suede. Now it needs some pin stripes.

But does a BMW have a finish if you can't see it's paint? @brandmybmw http://brandmybmw.com

Looks way too much like black primer, or a rattle can paint job as Bur mentioned.

I don't like it. It looks like it just came out of a body shop and they forgot to paint it.

I heard BMW might do this several years ago. Gotta be a custom job. Accentuates the lines of the car. Agree it needs flat finish rims

I did my Merc like this last week in South Africa, it cost R15k (about US$1500), they use a vinyl skin and heat-shrink it on. It rocks

Here's a few pics, I thought it came out very well:

My first car (69 Lemans) had a finish just like that. It's called "A half dozen cans of black primer."
