Mr. Rogers makes the case for PBS in 1969 [video]
Once again, PBS funding is in the crosshairs for politicians, and even though we’ve lost Mr. Rogers, his message about the importance of kids and that of the programming they – and all of us – receive from public television still resounds after all these years, despite the myriad of options that have opened up since 1969.
If you take nothing else from this video, just remember, “You’ve made this day a special day, just by being you. There’s no person in the whole world like you, and I like you just the way you are.”
