The idea is so elementary, it’s amazing no one has yet marketed it to the masses, but that’s the genius of great design, isn’t it?

Artemy Lebedev Studio has incorporated a USB drive into the head of a safety pin that can easily be attached to a shirt or bag in an instant and stay put. The only real problem is remembering to unpin it before throwing it in the washing machine.

  1. One of my 16GB flash cards has a "micro-lanyard" for its USB adapter. I thought that was pretty clever; it’s yet to fall out, but I suppose this might be a little more secure.
