New meaning to "death by PowerPoint"

Media_httpdldropboxco_aehjg

“When we understand that slide, we’ll have won the war.” — Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the leader of American and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

If you’ve ever suffered through a PowerPoint presentation (viewing or making), you’ll love the New York Times article about the impact of PowerPoint presentations on the U. S. military. It gives a whole new meaning to “death by PowerPoint” and the danger of too many “bullets.”

Hat tip to @BillMeade for pointing out this story.

Full story at New York Times. Microsoft, SlideShare, Duarte Design, Garr Reynolds, or Bert Decker should sponsor a contest for the best redesign of the slide.

You could make this confusing mess look better with Prezi.com. But a confusing mess will always be a confusing mess.

Might want to add Mr. Edward Tufte to the list - looks too complex for PPT, needs more an info viz overhaul!
