New nano-laser sets the record for tiny
Physicists at the University of Texas at Austin have developed the world’s smallest semiconductor laser, a breakthrough for emerging photonic technology with applications from computing to medicine.
The ultra-tiny nanolaser, made from a gallium nitride nanorod partially filled with indium gallium nitride, is too small to be seen with the naked eye.
