When part of the city that never sleeps went dark in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, photographer Jared Levy took to the streets with a camera to capture what we hope will be a once-in-a-lifetime look at the dark streets.

With time-lapses by Michael Marantz, they show us a completely different view of New York, the night nature slapped this larger-than-life metropolis.
