Illustrator Marc Johns creates art in unexpected places, describing himself as both a traditionalist and a minimalist. The paper towel machine in a Starbucks bathroom served as his latest quirky inspiration to imagine what life would be like if paper towels could talk.

Hmmm, what do you think paper towels would say if they got all Disney-ified and could chat away?

All sorts of interesting art news and views.

I think they’d remind everyone to wash their hands.

Thanks for the blog post, Annie! It was fun to draw on the paper towels, and hey -- I wasn't destroying public property :)

These are amusing. What a chuckle I would have if I found these in a public toilet. Someone would probably have to call the manager for the distraction they would cause.

I love things like this. Too cute. As an artist it makes me want to be more expressive but I tend to hold myself back sometimes.
