Pictures from the University of Oregon

Posted by / June 25, 2011

These are my pictures from an admissions visit to the University of Oregon in Eugene. The university was founded in 1876 and occupies 295 acres. There are 300 academic programs with a student population of approximately 23,000. If you’d like admission information, go here. You can read what students think of it at Unigo.

The campus feels like an Ivy League school (red brick buildings) with interiors like the Apple store in Covent Garden—well, except for the dorm room that you’ll see towards the end of the post. You can see the other campuses that I visited here.

Our hosts (right to left): Tim Clevenger, executive director, associate vice president of alumni affairs; Dr. Roger J. Thompson, vice provost for enrollment management; Brian Henley, director of admissions; Dan Rodriguez, former executive director, associate vice president of alumni affairs. This was Dan’s retirement day—hence the Aloha attire!
