Priest fingerprints kids to track mass attendance

Media_httpfarm3static_edlhf

Think God won’t notice if you ditch mass for the holy church of NFL football? Well, if a Polish priest’s idea spreads, you could have some hellish problems.

A Catholic priest in southern Poland has rigged a high-tech way to track the mass of attendance of schoolchildren by installing an electronic fingerprint reader in his church. Father Grzegorz Sowa created the system to replace the old way that required kids to get the priest’s signature in a notebook each week. If the children attend 200 masses in the three years leading up to their confirmation, they can skip the usual exam.

"the usual exam"?!?! Maybe they should focus on priests' fingerprints on kids instead...sorry, left themselves wide open for that one...
