  1. this is why it upsets me when people say things like: God never gives us more than we can handle; and if you are positive, and optimistic, good things will always come to you; and you may not get what you want, but you get what you need; and The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser – in case you thought optimism was dead.

    many people all over the world do not get what they need, every single day.

    "What doesn't kill [you] makes [you] stronger", but quite often it will leave you slowly bleeding to death, from wounds others cannot see.

  2. What a lot of people don't know is that a similar amount of male rape victims exist in Congo, but they're not looked after half as well, which is pretty concerning. That, and in comparison, male homicide is far more common than female homicide.
