What a horror. We just launched grassroots efforts in Kenya where many refugees from Congo live. It's amazing to see these women empowered and teaching others.
It is heart warming to read about the doctor. Heart wrenching to read about the plight of the women of Congo! may God save them!
What a lot of people don't know is that a similar amount of male rape victims exist in Congo, but they're not looked after half as well, which is pretty concerning. That, and in comparison, male homicide is far more common than female homicide.
No words to describe what the women went through. We are all equal and must treat each other with respect and compassion. The doctor is a hero.
