Putting the spotlight on lesser-known Star Wars characters
Imagine appearing in one of the most successful film franchises of all time, but no one remembers your name. That’s the situation for a handful of Star Wars characters long forgotten to all but the most geeky devoted fans. Artist Elliot Quince hopes to bring these non-Skywalkers back into the spotlight with a collection of clay recreations showing the disregarded characters’ depressed faces.
"Fame and fortune awaited for the lucky few but spare a thought for those who never made it big; those forgotten extras, downtrodden walk-ons and bitter bit parts," Quince said. "Plasticine Tatooine gives those lesser-known characters a chance to air their grievances and to lift the lid on life in the Star Wars second string."
