Quantum computer built inside diamond
Researchers have built a quantum computer in a diamond, the first of its kind to include protection against harmful noise called “decoherence.”
“It’s a little like time travel,” University of Southern California professor Daniel Lidar, because switching the direction of rotation time-reverses the inconsistencies in motion as the ‘qubits’ (quantum bits made of subatomic particles) move back to their original position.
