Get ready for entire lines of baby food spiked with rosemary, folks, because science is saying it makes you smarter.
A study performed at the University of Northumbria tested subjects performing several mental tasks after smelling rosemary oil and it appears that higher the level of 1, 8-cineole, the oil’s main chemical, the higher subjects scored on the tests.
According to Dr. Christy C. Tangney, exposure to rosemary oil has never been found to be harmful, but considering the lengths people will go to get a brain boost, we don’t recommend going hogwild until more studies have been done. In the mean time, whip up some rosemary chicken and pat yourself on the back.
