Saddest animal ever: Betty the naked hedgehog

Everyone laughs at the girl in the itsy-bitsy, teeny-weenie, yellow polka-dot bikini who couldn’t face the crowd, but only the absolutely heartless could hear the story of Betty and not get a little verklempt.
Despite being otherwise healthy, Betty suffered a skin condition that caused all of her spines to fall out and did quite a number on her self-esteem, too; the poor thing not only can’t protect herself from predators or the elements, but won’t even come out of her enclosure long enough to find a friend to help her out.
Honestly, there isn’t an Etsy store that sells made-to-order hedgehog sweaters yet? Get knitting, folks, and let’s get this girl back into circulation.
