Low doses of a natural compound may help prevent a condition that wastes muscles and is a major cause of death for patients with cancer and AIDS.
“It’s not that there are ineffective drugs out there, it’s that there are no approved drugs to treat this condition right now,” says Imed Gallouzi, associate professor of biochemistry at McGill University.
