Second grader’s angry letter about Exxon Valdez oil spill
On April 13, 1989, second-grader Kelli Middlestead penned (well, penciled) a letter to the Regional Director of the Alaska Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service expressing her anger about the recent Exxon Valdez oil spill. The letter from the Franklin School student ended up in the National Archives.
