Self-folding origami [video]

Researchers at the Harvard Microrobotics Lab have developed programmable origami that folds itself into various shapes based on commands. The technology is more than just a cool party trick; researchers say that the development of programmable matter could have a use in everyday life, like a coffee mug that adjusts its size based on the amount of liquid poured into it.
