Sign spotting at Stewart’s Sanity Rally
An estimated 40 million people (not really) descended on Washington D.C. Saturday afternoon to rally for sanity with Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear attracted sign-wielding Americans (and a handful of lost Canadians) from around the country in what was likely a big boost for the poster board and Sharpie industries (score one point for economic stimulation!). The signs varied from the serious to the silly to the downright confusing and probably written while drunk.
Your friendly Holy Kaw managing editor (me, if you didn’t figure that out) traveled via cramped bus to the nation’s capital to snap pictures of some of the silliest posters on sticks for your viewing pleasure.

I hadn’t seen the McDonald’s sign. That’s awesome!
