Former veep candidate Sarah Palin slipped out of the glaring spotlight for about .5 seconds following her and John McCain’s defeat nearly one year ago and, while her political career remains unpredictable, it seems she’s developed a fondness for some reliable fashion fixtures. Thanks to a much-publicized $150,000 clothing bill (and The Huffington Post’s fondness for random photo polls), Palin’s wardrobe choices remain under close scrutiny. It seems the former Alaska governor learned a thing or two from McCain’s style team, sticking with the killer heels and fitted blazers so often seen on the 2008 campaign trail. Palin’s casual wear could use a little shape up though; it’s not Obama’s dreadful dad jeans bad, but the Muppet fur and polyester isn’t working. Oh, and I think Bumpits could have a new celebrity spokeswoman.

Hmmm, did anyone ever care about John Edwards, Joe Lieberman or Jack Kemp’s fashion flubs? Probably not, but if you can look past that and want to take a gander at Palin’s post-defeat looks, check out Huff Po’s full Sarah style slideshow.
