Each year, Lake Superior State University selects the most overused words and puts out a call to kick the offending terms to the curb along with the browned Christmas tree and moldy fruitcake. Well, prepare to reshape your vocab for 2010 with the 35th edition of LSSU’s List of Words Banished from the Queen’s English for Mis-use, Over-use and General Uselesness.
Words that made folks want to stick their fingers in their ears include:

• App
• Sexting
• Friend as a verb
