South Korea already boasts the world’s fastest internet connection, but come 2012, the tech-savvy nation will claim internet speeds so fast, surfing the web will come with a whiplash warning. (Eh? Eh?)
The South Korean government has announced plans to connect every home in the country to the internet at one gigabit per second by the end of next year. That would mark a tenfold speed boost from the current national standard and leave the United States in the dust with speeds 200 times faster than the average American household.
