Steak a la space drop
What is it with men finding creative ways to cook meat?
In the grand tradition of manly steak preparation, Randall Monroe of XKCD’s What If? puts a geeky spin of things by attempting to answer the question “How far would a steak have to be dropped to cook it?”
The explanation is a fascinating one for science-minded folk, but the answer is that you’d get about the same result as Pittsburgh steelworkers once did when they slapped a steak on newly-pressed steel creating the term “Pittsburgh Rare.”
Ain’t it grand when history, science and steak come together?
