Study: 67% of consumers are more likely to buy from companies they follow on Twitter
Posted by staff / March 18, 2010Social media might be trendy, but the question at the end of the day for many companies is whether it pays off. A new study by Chadwick Martin Bailey seems to suggest that it does. The research, for instance, finds the following:
- 51% of Facebook fans are more likely to buy since connecting with the company on social media.
- 67% of Twitter followers are more likely to buy since connecting with the company on social media.
- 60% of Facebook fans were more likely to recommend the brand since adding it on social media.
- 79% of Twitter followers were more likely to recommend the brand since adding it on social media.
The sample size for the study was 1,504 Americans.
