"Success Library" 2010

Media_httpdldropboxco_wasmd

I was in a Barnes and Noble tonight and saw a shelf labeled “Success Library.” Look at the books on it: they’re all about social media, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Two years ago, this shelf would be filled with Good to Great, The Tipping Point, and the like. The world has sure changed.

All the social media tips and tricks.

Tipping Point, Outliers and Blink, all by Malcolm Gladwell, still have a place on YOUR Success Library. Plus Jim Rohn, Louise Hay, Rev Michael and others who remind us of our humanity. Gotta have something to SAY and someone to BE online.

These books photographed are the mechanics. They will come and go. But the other books deal with classic humanity. People don't change that much, Guy!

I met you at MacSummit, maybe 1994, Santa Barbara. The tools change, but understanding our actions is essential to use the tools well.

I have all these too! What's missing is an @avinashkaushik book and/or something on A/B testing, success=measuring! #li
