Super Bowl ads: Sexist, racist, homophobic
Boobs, beer, and ball-less men—it’s just another year of Super Bowl commercials. The only place you’ll find more frat boy humor is in Dane Cook’s stand-up and, after awhile, neither seems very funny. The Sexist has examined the use of “acceptably outrageous” topics like sexism, racism, and homophobia in a truly interesting read.
So, what did we learn from this year’s crop of decidedly mediocre Super Bowl ads? In short, men can reclaim their testicles snatched away by having to carry their girlfriends’ lip balm by investing in a pointless portable TV gadget or plopping down $30K for an hideous-looking Dodge. That’s right, dudes, real men grunt, act like idiots, and only think about sports and sex.
