Super Bowl Stadiums from I to XLIV
As we stock up for Sunday’s Super Bowl with Costco-size tubs of salsa, truckloads of chicken wings and a cocktail of Tums and Rolaids, let’s take a look back at where it all began: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The National Historic Landmark stadium hosted Super Bowl I back in 1967, and again in 1973, and now serves as the home to USC’s Trojans football team.
Time magazine takes a trip down Super Bowl memory lane with a slideshow of stadiums that played home to some of the most watched sporting events in history. Definitely check out the accompanying commentary with each photo so you can impress your beer chugging friends with random trivia during lulls in the game.
