All the young Pakistani girl wanted was to be able to go to school and she advocated for other girls like her, with a blog in which she denounced the Taliban for preventing young women from getting an education. Her blog came to the attention of the Taliban, some of whom sought her out and shot Malala in the head.
There was a world-wide outcry. Malala struggled to survive. Eventually she was tranferred to a hospital in Britain, where she underwent multiple surgeries and yesterday, was discharged. Her doctors claim that her recovery is miraculous.
While she was still in hospital the Taliban said: “We do not tolerate people like Malala speaking against us” .. and they vowed that if Malala survived they would go after her again.
