There are two kinds of innovation: incremental and fundamental. Hutch Carpenter provides a useful framework for understand the risks and rewards of the four quadrants of innovation.

They are: existing technology, existing marketing; existing technology, new market; radical technology, new market; and radical technology, existing market. Read his post to understand what you have to do in each quadrant

A wonderful article about balance. Instead of everybody running after the same ball it's smart to widen your scope. Running from one hype after the other can waer you out. Be smart and look at the wider picture! Good piece!
