The 7 new ways to use Twitter

Scott Sheper, author of The Art of Focus, has compiled seven interesting new rules for using Twitter. His perspective is that Twitter 1.0 (“What are you doing right now?”) is dead. Twitter 2.0 is “What’s interesting?” and involves sharing links. Here are three of his seven new ways to use Twitter:

  • Avoid Twitter clients.
  • Don’t market yourself within Twitter.
  • Schedule your tweets.

Twitter 2.0 only works if your not popular or has 100k+ followers otherwise it is all about self promotion and maximising your followers

I do not agree with the 2nd item -- Don’t use Seesmic or Tweedeck, or any other client -- because with them, I'm managing in a better way my followers.
