  • Open rate does not mean sales.

    If you tricked your target into opening the email, they will read the first sentence already annoyed at you.

  • Alan I completely agree with you, open rate does not mean sales. But it’s the first step in getting your recipient to pay attention and open your email. It’s important to be at the top of the pile rather than the bottom. It’s a salesperson’s job to then make sure they have an interesting enough proposition to motivate a response.
