The failed war on drugs [infographic]

  1. This is most disturbing, especially given that most illegal drugs are poison and destroy health, relationships, and personal happiness (esp. meth, heroin, and cocaine). While meth seems to be a "poor white person’s" drug, the black community is disproportionately impacted by drug dealers and users of all sorts of illicit drugs within their own community. I admire President Obama very much, but why are he and the leaders of his administration largely silent about the rampant drug use in our country?! It’s called a bully pulpit for a reason! Mr. President, please use yours, especially if you get re-elected! If our elected leaders aren’t using their megaphone to stop the scourge of drug use, and parents aren’t doing a good job, who will? Look at the devastation our selfish consumption wreaks across Mexico and Central/South America. Tragic, just tragic. Legalizing poison is not the answer and is a cop-out. Bully pulpit, Mr. President!
