The kakapo is truly one of nature’s mavericks. The world’s only flightless parrot, and also its heaviest, it can also live up to 100 years and beyond.
Unfortunately, the kakapo is critically endangered and there so few, just over 100, most have been given names. But this bird typifies strength through adversity…
