There are a certain number of years in everyone’s life when they wish photography had never been invented, the years of bad glasses, lanky limbs, bad skin and unfortunate fashion choices, but for the children of major political figures, their parents’ cameras aren’t the only ones they have to worry about.

Since President Barack Obama won his Senate seat in 2004, Sasha and Malia have been in the public spotlight with their father, and they seem to have been particularly lucky when it came to those awkward stages and maintaining their ability to be so darned photogenic.
