Getting big companies to be real, after many years of being trained to fake it will be our biggest challenge. It's how the big fishies are going to be eaten by the little fishies.

Excellent video that could also apply to non SM activities.

I like this, short and practical, thanks!

Great work, Lewis. I've been following you on Twitter for awhile (in addition to Guy and a few others) and always need to re-inscribe stuff like this on my brain. It's so basic in theory, but the application is not always simple.

Good tips but the Sonos and Power Squid promotion felt forced and out of place.

Thank you for sharing this this great information, it's just what I needed. I'll have to go listen back a couple times to learn it all. I am pretty new to most of this and trying to learn the right way. Just this morning I told my fiance there has to be a Trust Worthy Book out there I can read. I was so happy to hear some of Lewis's recommendation. :) I feel more inspired and now I at least have a direction to head. I am off to find the best prices on these books. I NEVER PAY RETAIL for anything, but I am willing this time if I have to. ;)
Thank you Lewis, Thank you Guy!

"You know you're ROCKIN' IT when..."

Within a month, you're featured in the NYTimes, your content gets promoted by Guy...you host an event in London...

AND everyone digs the t-shirt you're wearing! HAHA I'll be looking for the "Web 2.0: WWLD" bracelets next. ;)

Keep up the GREAT work - and thanks for always sharing valuable content!

I liked the #6-Make sure you promote others, where, at the same time, you follow the rule, by promoting the 2 books. Great job!

I agree with number 9 wholeheartedly!

As far as being on a lot of networks at a time, my thought is "jack of all trades is a master of none." My thinking is master one social network at a time, don't get overwhelmed, don't spread yourself thin.

Best,

I agree with everything. I would caution to not name drop too much when thanking others and run risk of sounding like a celebrity thank you speech.

Good stuff but pretty much basic common sense in many respects. Key take away: You only need to know about ten guys who have all the social media clout it seems......

Great video! I'm glad I came across it. Yes, most of the points were common sense in nature, but it is amazing how many people seem to throw common sense out the window when behind their keyboard.

Great vid. One thing we emphasize with our client base is to engage their audience! Too many businesses try to push their products without taking the time to interact with their followers. Fundamentally, social media is much like a cocktail party & you have to be relevant & engaging to be of any interest.

Nice info, I've heard bits and pieces of this in various different places, its nice to have someone put it all together in a short concise video. We all know what to do, sometimes we just need to hear it a few times before it really sinks in. Thanks!
