This is not news. Usain Bolt and the other Jamaican athletes always stop their celebrations or interviews when other athletes are receiving their medals and their national anthems are playing.

    Class!

That’s called Respect and Class thanks Usain class act

  • MICHAEL RICHARDS

Usain Bolt, a legend and a true gentleman. The whole world is proud of his achievements and his high class conduct.

  • That is classy, growing up I did not get respect when some people thought I was from Jamaica, which I am not but related to some people who are, and when I grew up I of get disrespect by some foreigners who think I am a African American who some of them have no respect for which since I am a proud citizen of America though foreign born.

Jamaica athletes exhibit the best of the island; they are taught to respect their peers even those who disrespect or disregard their excellence- they are class acts not just on the field but off and we are proud of them. US athletes can learn a lot from them, especially Bolt.

  • But in doing that for the US he’s doing us an injustice. One should NEVER tie the National Flag or anything bearing the Jamaican colours around their necks etc. etc.

Many folks maybe surprised bu8t I am not one of them! Bolt is a good human being, very respectful of other nations even as they try to malign him and talk crazy things about him. Also, he is very generous with his money, he gifted the Chinese Red Cross 50,000USD and has done wonde4rful things for struggling Jamaican athletes, his little district in Trelawny, Jamaica and also the High School that he attended. Maximum respect to Dr. Usain St Leo Bolt, track legend and the most outstanding spring on the planet Earth.

  • I was disappointed the to read the USA sprint teams mostly African Americans would not drink Gatorade with Bolts picture on it, this black on black hate must stop, an American Black or European American are no better than a Jamaican black or any other black, its only one’s noble character that places one closer to God and into eyes of good people

  • I can’t say that I am surprised by my fellow Jamaican’s action. It’s what most of us are taught growing to respect each other no matter what culture, class or race.after all we are made of different cultures and race in Jamaica but we are one, but it makes me think back to the article i read just yesterday of American athletes refusing to drink Gatorade from a bottle with Bolt’s image on it. what an irony.

  • dumb ass. paying homage to a country that treats your people like crap. when those words were penned blacks were still enslaved. then after jim crow etc kkk, lynching, rosewood massacre, Whelmington ( black wall street ) planned parenthood, and the syphyllis experiment, ghettos DEA drug scheme ,school to prison pipeline , now they are just being kill every 28 hrs by the police. . refusing to exonerate his Honorable Marcus Garvey, fail to give reparation for all the stolen labour of our ancestors, of which their decendants is still benefiting today, he is paying homeage> smh , i guess he doesnt know better,

  • Decency and good upbringing will show in the times when one is least expecting to see the show. lesson to the arrogant losers.
