Vintage STD propaganda posters

Remember the basic message of sex ed? Hint: Wrap it before you tap it. Well, that lesson got megaphoned during the 1930s and 1940s when wartime propaganda posters warned of the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases. Fact-checking departments didn’t exist and health agencies took it upon themselves to scare the willies back into the pants of U.S. servicemen.

The worst! Where are the posters that say "Loose MEN may also be LOADED with disease."? Terrible.

These posters should be burned at least that way they might offer a little bit of warmth. Loose women? I can't believe my eyes.

The ads are targeting WWI soldiers. Mostly men. That is why they are all about women spreading diseases

I got that I just didn't like the attitude. Our society tends to put their woes onto women.

I had never considered this phenomenon before but I believe this may be offensive to some women
