This goes double for stepmoms because we CHOOSE every day to love them, knowing that our hearts will be shattered at some point and that it could all be snatched away from us in a heartbeat at the whim of someone else, no matter how good a stepmom we are, and that we have all the responsibility of a mom (love, time, money, etc.) but few legal rights...

That was really really touching. I sent it to my best friend who just had a 8lb, 12 ounce bundle of joy arrive yesterday. Thanks!

I'm making my kids' lunches for school, getting their breakfast together, doing the laundry, getting the last of the dinner dishes done and about to wake them up for school right now. Rushing, rushing. Saw your tweet about this. Sat down for a moment to watch. So glad. Thanks for the gift. This reached me at the core and gave me a gift. A boost. A pat on the back.A hug to me from my kids, for my kids and about my kids. It caused me to sit down for a moment, stop the whirl of activity and smell the beautiful roses of motherhood. Thank you.
