What comes to mind when you think of Easter? Church? Bunnies? Eggs? For those who don’t fancy the hard-boiled, poached or scrambled varieties, a chocolate egg is the perfect Easter treat.
Who thought to improve upon nature’s most perfect food by mixing cocoa and sugar? It’s impossible to say who invented the chocolate egg, but these confections started appearing in France and Germany in the early 19th century.
