Why immigrants kick butt

Media_httpfarm3static_kkcif

My theory is that immigrants do not take jobs from Americans. Instead, they come here and start companies and create jobs for everyone. I found a great list of the seven success traits of immigrant at Immigrant, Inc. Here are three:

  • Keen sense of adventure
  • Reverence for education
  • Love and respect for family

I agree. Vivek Wadhwa has some interesting info that supports you.

All these qualities seem very "American" ie the same qualities that built America 200 years ago when the immigrants of that time went over from Europe!

As an inmigrant myself, I do think this is very true. We fight as hard as we can to get better lives, to live better. We stay hungry no matter what happens. Most of us won't give up.

Legal immigrants recognize the greatness of America - that anyone can achieve if they apply themselves. They come here to work while we Americans want to sit on our butts and let the government take care of us. What happened to rugged individualism and self-determination?

Hi everyone!
I been an immigrant all my life in two different countries and I never took a job from anyone at list I didn't feel like it because I always took jobs that no one else wanted like cleaning the streets and etc. US was my dream ever since I was little so when I got here I have done anything and everything possible to show my appreciation for this great country and the people and as someone earlier said we imigrants know what we want to accomplish and to do that if it needed we go hungry. In 4.5years since I'm in the US I helped build up a firm with now 4 employees (all amercan exept me) and the company is growing very fast and I'm on my way to start a new company which will be even bigger than the one now. We immigrants at list most of us want to stay legal and know how to deal with hard times. So that is why we succeed in a resation like this. I wish US laws would make it easier for us to immigrait. I think that the biggest problem with illegal immigration in the us is that legal immigration it self is illegal right now. I'm very blessed for the opportunities this country has given me. I'm legal for now and I hope someday I will be able to make it permanent.

Momma and Papa, the Asians really do a good job of wall papering over their family problems, thats for sure. Its usually a good spot to be number one son.
