World AIDS Day: making awareness sexy

World AIDS Day is coming up on December first—and awareness is sexy. So, take a few moments to read this great post by Sheryl Lee Ralph.

She brings up great points that will really challenge the way you feel about the awful disease that killed more than 3,000,000 last year alone. To put that into perspective, Swine Flu has only killed 1000 people to date. Don’t get me wrong, that’s terrible too, but if those numbers can spark a media frenzy—surely HIV and AIDS are deserving of some discussion time too.
