Yeah, we’re not that guy, and our kids’ holiday treats will consist of whatever was closest to the door at the store on the way to school that morning.
Fortunately, Alex at Homes and Hues knows perfectly well plenty of us are scrambling not to look like the creepy house that doesn’t celebrate Halloween so much as live it and really need some last-minute decorating ideas we can get on the cheap.
We’re going to throw another one in there, though, and that’s to throw a sheet over the Santa you never took down from last year and call it a ghostie. Woooooooooooohoooooo!

Chelsey Andrews of The Paper Mama blog shared her easy DIY horror-themed paper silhouettes that you can print out and hang on your windows. All you need are a printer, sheets of paper, clear tape, twine and about 30 minutes.
Milk Jug Ghosts
It doesn’t get any easier than this: Milk jug “ghosts” made from empty gallon-sized plastic milk jugs with faces drawn with permanent markers. Drop in a few glow sticks or battery-operated flameless candles to add an eerie glow. Jamie, Jodie and Jennifer of eighteen25 has the step-by-step instructions.
