A history of the world in 100 seconds [video]

History lesson time! Gareth Lloyd collected all the geotagged Wikipedia articles that also had a date attached and created a 100 second clip that travels through time, mapping where each event took place. Lloyd’s data dates back to 499 BC and features the historically-notable happenings from 14,238 Wikipedia entries.
