Astronaut generates 1.21 Legowatts of electricity in space [video]

Unless aliens in a far off galaxy are cosplaying while programming their physics-centric social sharing website, the International Space Station packs the most nerdiness per square inch in the universe. Some of the world’s most brilliant geeks call the ISS home, but even the brightest minds need creative outlets while floating in a metal tube 230 miles above Earth.

Astronaut, photographer, and tweeter Don Pettit shows off his smarts by using the station’s official Lego collection to conduct experiments with static electricity.

Don has fun in space.
