Blocking molecule may keep fat cells slim
By removing a mysterious molecule from fat cells, University of Michigan scientists were able to create mice they didn’t gain weight no matter how rich their diet.
It’s not that the special mice had fewer fat cells, say the researchers, but that their fat cells were smaller, thanks to changes in their mitochondria.
