Cheers! Southwest has to pony up on free drink vouchers after all

If you’ve got a drawer full of free drink vouchers from Southwest Airlines from before August1st, 2010, it’s time to par-tee!
On that date, the airline tried to change its policy of honoring free drink coupons without expiration dates to voiding the whole kit and caboodle, but one very disgruntled customer and attorney sued and won, meaning the company has to “…build a website and attempt to contact folks by email so they can get in on the free alcohol they’re due,” meaning serve up approximately 5.8 million free drinks.
It isn’t often we can toast travel around the holiday season, but this appears to be one of those rare opportunities.
