How to grill the perfect burger and BBQ an egg
NPR interviews burger masters Dan Pashman and Mark Garrison, hosts of the popular food podcast “Sporkful,” to learn the secrets of grilling. The duo divulges their burger tips, which include only flipping the patty once, choosing a thoughtful fat-to-meat ratio for the chuck (somewhere around 80/20 and 75/25), and finding a tasty cheese that doesn’t steal the spotlight from the beef.
In addition to sharing recipes for a cheeseburger with cheese on the bottom, ricotta and pesto burger spread, and grilled provolone, the two offer an innovative take on grilling an egg. Hint: The recipe calls for two eggs, one large bell pepper, black pepper, salt, and hot sauce.
