What’s the science of intermittent fasting?

Scientific research is increasingly demonstrating that special diets do not work; any weight you lose tends to come back. The latest trend is not what you eat, but how often. Intermittent fasting, as it’s called, is all the rage, especially among fitness gurus and tech types. This video explains the scientific benefits of fasting––with the caveat, however, that there needs to be a lot more research before any claims can be justified. So don’t jump into fasting unless you want to take the risk.
